Last night we, the officers of Advocates Philippines included in our meeting agenda the typhoon Ondoy relief operations albeit the members have already contributed their own individual efforts in aiding unfortunate victims.
The group intends to reach out 150 families in Cainta, Rizal this Saturday in coordination with the Philippine Council of Evangelical Churches (PCEC/PHILRADS. The estimated Cash Fund amounting to P82,000.00 that we instantly planned to raise was 90% amazingly answered by God within an hour! through the generous pledge made by the members/people we have contacted. Relief goods that we need to buy tomorrow shall include corn beef/meat loaf (no more sardines- sawa na sila), rice, noodles, banig (sleeping mat), mosquito net and blanket.
But we still need a cash of 9,000 pesos to generate completely the 82 thousand pesos initial fund for this charitable activity. So if you are willing to extend any help or assistance whether cash, goods or services (volunteer) to our group kindly contact the office of our President, Atty. Winnie Salumbides at 448-5188/474-1000.
"Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, NOT RELUCTANTLY OR UNDER COMPULSION, for God loves a cheerful giver."
